BOP Committee Structure

We invite our members to assist with our association governance by serving as volunteer leaders. The BOP is always looking for members to serve on committees and working groups, assist at events, and donate their time as thought leaders. Please note, Brewery and Associate members are encouraged to participate but committees with * are restricted to Brewery members only. Dues must be current to particpate on any association committee. BREWPUBS *

The committee will assist the Executive Committee in supporting the mission of the BOP by discussing issues that uniquely face small brewery restaurants. The committee will offer suggestions to BOP Board of Directors on topics related to Brewpubs and evaluate existing and or additional services that could be beneficial to Brewpub members. The Committee will meet via conference call a minimum of two to four times per year. Each member will serve One (1) year term (Jan-Dec) and is subject to review/ renewal by the BOP Board of Directors.

EQUITY & INCLUSION

The Equity & Inclusion Fund serves to transform the Pennsylvania Craft Beer industry through creating educational opportunities and grants for people underrepresented in the craft beer industry including people of color, women, people with disabilities, and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. With this fund, we will also create training opportunities and resources around equity and inclusion for members of the Brewers of Pennsylvania. (More Info)

EVENTS & CORPORATE SUPPORT

The committee will assist the Executive Committee in supporting the mission of the BOP by planning, organizing and conducting annual events through direct interface with the Executive Director. Including but not limited to identifying venues, sponsors, speakers, programming, etc. The Committee will meet via conference call a minimum of two to four times per year. Each member will serve One (1) year term (Jan-Dec) and is subject to review/ renewal by the BOP Board of Directors.

LEGISLATIVE *

The function of this committee is to oversee all aspects of legislative and administrative policy making by other deliberative bodies which may affect the Pennsylvania brewing industry. (More Info)

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES *

The committee will assist the Executive Committee in supporting the mission of the BOP by actively recruiting new members, encouraging member participation in committees and activities through direct interface with the Executive Director. Additionally, the committee will help determine if membership needs are being met and to recommend measures or services that will better meet the changing needs of members. The Committee will meet via conference call a minimum of two to four times per year. Each member will serve One (1) year term (Jan-Dec) and is subject to review/ renewal by the BOP Board of Directors.

PR & COMMUNICATION

The committee will assist the Executive Committee in supporting the mission of the BOP by promoting the industry via public relations efforts through direct interface with the Executive Director. Including but not limited to responding to criticisms and letters to the editor as appropriate, conducting surveys on topics of interest to promote association. Liaison with public relations consultant on suggestions for association communication tools, including Website and social media. The Committee will meet via conference call a minimum of two to four times per year. Each member will serve One (1) year term (Jan-Dec) and is subject to review/ renewal by the BOP Board of Directors.
